Bar Prep is operated by NorthBec Technologies Inc. (Nordbec), Québec. Contact for any privacy question or request: contact@nordbec.ca — the person in charge of the protection of personal information is the founder, Guillaume Comtois Boudreau.

What we collect and why

• Your name and email address — to create and secure your account, confirm your address and send you sign-in or password-reset links.
• Your study progress (pages read, answers to exercises and simulations, your language) — to show your progress and suggest what to revise. It is never used for anything else.
• Technical logs (IP address, browser) — kept for security, for example to limit repeated sign-in attempts: 12 months, failed sign-in attempts 90 days.

We do not sell or share your information, show no advertising and use no analytics or tracking cookies. The only cookies are the ones needed to keep you signed in.

Where it is kept

On our server in Canada (OVH), with nightly backups on the same server. Emails (confirmation and password reset) are sent through Google Workspace, which processes your email address to deliver them and may do so outside Québec.

How long

As long as your account exists. An account whose email address is not confirmed within 7 days is deleted automatically. Ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to contact@nordbec.ca: your account and progress are deleted within 30 days, including from backups as they expire (14 days).

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, and withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@nordbec.ca. You can also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
